Launchbar slow mojave9/10/2023 ![]() Updating GPI (via conda) in the app bundle does not seem to help. It is not slow when calling the launch scripts directly in the app bundle. It is slow when launching form the icon, or when using open GPI.app from the command line. But other times it takes five or ten seconds. app version of GPI takes about 30s in macOS Mojave for some reason. I'm at 70K directories and it seems like it's really hurting. Click the double > arrow and you get a menu, like in this picture. The guide notes that launchbar is only good for "several thousand" files - this does seem to be the case. Audio Hijack now requires MacOS 10.14.4 (Mojave) or higher. ![]() I realize there is a decent amount of tree building going on and other higher-level prep work - but fzf, plocate, and other command line tools are orders of magnitude faster. Audio Hijack 3 sessions with many recordings could previously be slow to import to Audio. ' terminal command is still substantially faster. ![]() But I've tested about 8 different launch programs in the last few months and Launchbar is one of the slowest at indexing even when I limit indexing to just directories. Launchbar seems like it would fit the bill. I was looking for something that skips spotlight indexing and maintains its own file name cache (don't think I'll ever need within-file indexing), with good ability to handle exclusions and semi-complex rules. Don't get me wrong, it seems like a great product. Is LaunchBar compatible with macOS 10.14 Mojave Yes, LaunchBar 6.12 and later is fully compatible with macOS 10.14 Mojave. ![]()
